Mojin the lost legend movie review
It gets a release in Singapore on January 7, 2016, but no other international release dates have been scheduled as of yet. Mojin: The Lost Legend is directed by Wuershan and is set for release in China on December 18, 2015. But what’s truly strange about Mojin: The Worm Valley is. It’s enough to make you hungry for sushi after the movie. MOJIN - THE LOST LEGEND brings to the screen an epic fantasy adventure about a trio of legendary grave robbers, the Mojin, who are enjoying the retired civilian life hawking goods on the mean streets of New York City. The trailer looks great – the mythical Chinese setting looks engrossing, it looks like the film is dosed with a big amount of humor, and it has the feel of National Treasureon overdrive. The monsters include killer fish as well as giant lizards, crabs and snakes. They must venture into ancient mythical sites across China to find the clues that will lead to the release of the curse. In this movie the heroes are of course still on the hunt for a mystical round globe (sometimes called Pearl or Orb) that can maybe cure them of their 'Eye' curse or disease. It is not as good as the first, but its still decent fun. They team up with an American archaeologist ( Shu Qi) after they have fallen victim to a curse on their latest tomb raid. Mojin: The Worm Valley is widely considered the second CGI movie following Mojin: The Lost Legends. The novel also spawned an unrelated film called Ghost Blows Out: The Nine-Story Demon Tower, released in September 2015.
The story is set in the 1980s, and it follows a former soldier ( Chen Kun) and his partner – two treasure hunters in search of valuables. Mojin The Lost Legend is based on Zhang Muye’s best-selling fantasy novel Ghost Blows Out the Light, functioning as sort of a sequel rather than a straight adaptation. The book was first published online in 2006, but has since gained enormous popularity, although the writer had to remove references to the supernatural before it could be published in print form.Īlthough no official movie plot has been released yet, we can derive from the book what the movie will be broadly about. It is based on the in China best-selling novel “Ghost Blows Out The Light”, written by Zhang Muye. Mojin: The Lost Legend is an upcoming Chinese fantasy adventure/action film – and it looks spectacular.
